Modding a 2001 Corolla S

I have an 01 Corolla S, and I would like to make the car a little safer than it is now. I bought his car 4.5 years ago, and I kinda feel that the car is falling apart when driving. Brakes are doing shitty too. I am looking to get some springs, brakes, strut bar, brighter headlights, and some wider/bigger wheels. Could you people tell me what you have done to yours and how do you like it? TIA.

well in terms of performance... I've done nothing..

haha well actually.. my parts are on back order.. suspension parts are coming this week .... I can agree with you that at certain speeds, my car feels rather unsafe.. especially driving down 427 to 401 at 100 :P
