converting 4AC AE82 FWD to AE86?

hey everybody,

im new to these forums, and i am currently considering converting my AE82 1986 corolla (fwd 4ac) to a AE86....

just needed a little advice, what u guys thought, or who has done it, etc....

basically what would be needed? motor, ecu, g/box? what else?

how much approx?

Uh.... what exactly are you trying to do here? Put the AE82 engine in the AE86? The other way around perhaps? Could you explain further?

no i meant getting rid of my 4AC motor and putting in a newer 4age, 16v or 20v engine.....

just need a hit in the right direction please...

That's not an "AE86 conversion" that's just an engine swap. and you would need as much as you can get for a swap. Motor, transmission, ECU, wiring harness, maybe all the engine mounts, exhaust manifold, etc..

don't get the 4AG from the AE86 coz the manifold going in the wrong direction. get the ones from the AE92s coz they're also FF.
