Warrenty refund problem form Westbury Toyota Long Island

I bought a new car and a warrenty from westbebury toyota In NY Long Island , and went I go for a refund of my warrenty. They try not to return my tax mony . Anyone know what I can do?

I don't think you can get a refund on a warranty.. you didn't pay for it.. it came with the car.. warranty is not optional and you don't pay extra for it.

I think he's talking about Extended Warranty similar to ECP (Extra Care Protection) in Canada.

Not sure about the tax implications. I suspect that the tax is refundable on the portion they return to you. If they kept a chunk because it's pro-rated, then you don't get the tax back on that amount.

But then I'm sure tax laws vary from state to state, country to country.

Ask to speak with the Sales Manager....or call Toyota Motor Sales Customer Service directly.

Then you could always call the Consumer Protection Agency and ask.
