Help.... Chirping

I just wanted some input b4 I went to a mechanic. When I am driving slow, like in 1st or 2nd gear, I hear this wierd chirping noise. It will go away if I press down on the clutch, but it comes back after I engage the next gear and take my foot off the clutch again. Anyone have any idea what's going on...

Thanks

Nah... The engine is stock. I have some parts in my garage that are waiting to be installed, but I want to get all the basics cleaned up and worked out (tune up/engine cleaning, etc.) b4 I start adding things.

Ya I got a tune up a week after I got my GT-S. I'm glad I did to cuz it needed new filters, wires and plugs. I opted for platnum plugs.

If you don't got a turbo in then I don't know what it is. I'm still fairly inexperianced. I wish I knew more.

does this happen if you're not moving but at idle?

for example, if your car is idling can you make the noise appear and disappear by pressing the clutch pedal?

no.. not necessarily really bad.. but it means your transmission's input shaft bearing is going.. you can gauge how bad it is by how loud it sounds, i suppose.. its a common problem with old cars ,but it doesn't mean your tranny's gonna blow up or anything

Thanks guys....

I am at 83,000 miles on the original clutch and I am about to get that changed soon. I guess I'll get that looked at at the same time. I hope it isn't too much more expensive to repair in addition to the clutch.

Thanks again.
