AE86 Suspension baby!

since for some reason springs for the 86 are insanely expensive, i was thinking of finding a car with a similar dimensions spring that we could use. Even though i'm keeping my eyes on some jdm trd 8k/6k spring setup, i'd like to know your thoughts on cars that as far as springs we can/could adapt to.

no shox talkx man

for some reason?? Wouldn't have to do with how popular the car has got after Initial D, and the fact that parts for these cars are basically hard to find... remember, you don't have a Civic.

Aren't the Ground Control kits pretty reasonable?
They won't weld to a gas strut, but you should be able and add a sleeve over the strut housing that rests on the original perch/welds.

which application ground controls?
also consider ae86 owners want stiff springs = drif, because ground control, megan and espelir cheap springs are soft taco burritos

lets start simpler, anyone have the dimensions of 86 springs?

Ground control springs are produced by Eibach so you can get anywhere from 1kg to 15kg, but that with the "coilover" sleeves they offer. Techno Toy makes a neat coilover kit for the rear. I have it and i love it. Their are other options such as JIC and TEIN but thats rediculously priced.

but i have a great find though. Check out this web page, they say they carry all sorts of linear springs...expensive but a great find nonetheless

check it out
TRD 6-8k front/3.9-8k rear for $90
