Hey fellas.. i have a problem. I have a 89 corolla gt-s and.. the trunk is stuck! I can't open it.. even with a key.. grrr.. i tried going from the inside through the seat but i'm not really sure how the latch and stuff works for this thing.. any ideas?

there's a lever that you either have to push or pull.. can't remember, but it should be right next to the lock in the inside of the trunk. Sounds like you need to replace your trunk cable.

Does it seem like a lock problem or the trunk is stuck from moving up? I had a '90 Celica and the lock would pop, but the 4 bar trunk mechanicsm would bind and you just had to pull it a certain way to talk it into opening.

i have an 89 corolla gts also.....My trunk has problems opening too. All i have to do is turn the key, push down on the trunk and then lift up, all with the key turn. Its pretty easy. I don't know if you are having the same problems as me but that is the only suggestion i can give to you.
