Canada The check please

Anyone have an opinion on "rust checking" a new car? Is this still a prudent thing to do?
Thanks

Yeah. I have rust protection, undercoating and fabric protection done by Toyota on my XRS. It is definitely a rip off since dealerships have massive markups on these things. I just did it for the peace of my mind that if I come across anything abnormal they will fix it for free.

I would if you plan on keeping the car a long time. Can't hurt, except the wallet, and it's definately best to try and avoid letting your car rust.

OK...guess I will look into getting it done. Looks like we will be paying over $1.00 a litre in Ontario for premium gas!!!

Wow! 1.01 cents is A LOT for Octane 87 considering I am paying 0.98 cents for Octane 94 performance plus. Damn I hate these SUVs and big trucks who go around on city roads. There is no point in driving these big trucks in the city and most of them do it for stupid reason that it makes them fell secure as they would only kill the next person in an accident and not themselves. How selfish that is. It has happened to me tons of times when a big a** truck tried to switch lanes when I was in that lane since they are so high off the ground, they cannot see my tiny Corolla far down below and they have big blind spots. I had to give them a BIG horn honk to stop them from running into me. I wish they could all drive into a lake or something and be the end of these big natural resource .
