So yesterday when I tried to release my parking brake (the hand-operated type, not the imitation clutch ones), it went down and stopped at around where the first click is... I drove the car a few feet to check and it was indeed still engaged. The Brake LED on the dash was also lit. I could still pull it up but it kept getting stuck in the same position when going down.. I finally pushed really hard on it and it made a scraping sound before going all the way down.
I've been unable to reproduce it, but could it be a sign of impending doom? The primary foot brake is working fine though. Is there anything I should watch out for? I'm a n00b so don't tell me to inspect the drums myself
