94 Corolla ABS problem
Symptoms: For the last 2 weeks, the ABS light has come on for short time periods when the car is driven in wet pavement conditions.
This car has been a New York daily driver for 10 years, so it has seen a lot of salt.
Today, whenever the brakes were applied, the ABS system activated and pulsated, and the light came on.
When hooked to the SnapOn diagnostic code reader, the list of brake problems in history is extensive, displaying about every possible problem.
NO current problems are displayed on the reader.
Visual inspection of the brake system shows no damage or broken insulation on wiring to the sensors.
All brake parts including pads, rotors, drums and shoes are in good condition.
After disconnecting the fuse to the ABS system, the brakes function normally.
Has anyone got information on what this problem might be, and or a possible correction?
