Humming Hood Deflector

I have a hood deflector (installed by the dealer when car was brand spanking..) and have noticed that it will start to make a humming/squealing type noise when driving at elevated speeds. If there is a high cross wind..it can start at 130 kph (80 mph). The amount of noise generated seems to be directly proportional to how windy it is outside along with the velocity I'm travelling (forget about it... at 160 the hum can be constant). (I'm assuming its the hood (bug) deflector that is generating this noise). The deflector seems to be fastened properly. Any thoughts??

Ummmmm (...this is too logical, I suppose...)...yeah, drive at the posted speed limit, or at least slow the f' down.....or take it off...or live with the noise...Any thoughts ??? YEAH - bug deflectors are silly.

Phantom and Ren are right...bug deflectors are not designed for those kind of speeds, and most will say so right on the original package (which I am sure you no longer have). Take it off, or live with the noise and hope that it does not break off and fly through your windshield the next time you are doing 90. Regards, Aaron
