AE92 Rear disc brake conversion and other ?s

Has anyone done a rear disc brake conversion on an AE92. I know the parts would have to come from a GTS but I was just wondering what parts I need exactly and a little advice, because I have seen different lists with different parts on them. I also wanted to know if I can use GTS suspension parts on a SR5. (I have a 1989 SR5 if it matters) Thanks for the help in advance!

you would need a whole new master cylinder system for the rears, you need all the parts, new brackets

the brakes might be a little bit of a hassle to do. You could do it, but you would have to change up the brake lines from your drum to the caliper on the disk brakes. I hit a curb when it was wet out once and i needed a whole new rear end. I have an 89 gts. I got the rear end off of a dx. Everything fit perfectly, but i didn't want to use the drum brakes that the dx came with. So all i had to do was take off the whole bracket that the brakes mount to and switch it with the one that i had from my gts. It was really hard though because when you go disconnecting the sway bars the bolts don't want to come out. It took a lot of work just to get the bolts out of the bushings.

All of the parts from a gts would fit perfectly on your sr5. Almost all the corollas will work. I wouldn't upgrade to a gts suspension though. I would just buy aftermarket parts because used parts suck. as you can see from my testimony. If you decide that you do want to do the brake conversion to disc all you have to get is the brake assembly,(calipers, rotors, pads and what not), and the spindle as some call it. (what the rotor goes on). Pretty much everything up to the bars, not including the bars.
