Ok, the 4afe is great and all, but I was just seeing what was out there for direct swaps. If there isn't really anything, I'll try and make this one better!
I have tried a search, but I didn't find what I was looking for; or it was too in depth. I was told that there was a twin cam motor that was paired with a 6 speed that was a direct swap... would that be the 4age?
any A series engine will, yes..... the engine only has one mount..... trannies are a different story...... most C series will bolt right up without problems... E series need a bit of work (e51, e58) on a mount

And even more important, where will you find the axles???
the inboard shafts on a turbo mr2 might work as well... then you can use outboard shafts for your car.... this is what mk1.5's use (mk1 mr2 with a 3sgte)

go in and tell them you need axles for an 88-89 supercharged mr2
nowhere local could get them, the only junkyard anywhere near here that had an s/c had already sold them.... and toyota wanted over $500 a side and wasn't sure if they could get them or not
