Thumbs up Retrofit of my air condition??

Hi,

I want to retrofit (R12-R134A conversion) air condition in my 1993 toyota corolla. I heard that autozone rents the parts needed for that. Any one please suggest me what parts (tools) should I get from them? And if possible plz let me know the procedure in changing the freon.

thanks,

new corollate.

don't do it.... 134a isn't as cold and doesn't work well in r12 systems..... r134a also needs ~30% larger parts (piping, condensor, compressor) than r12 does

Hi,

When I showed my 1993 toyota corolla to a mechanic, he said that freon is leaking.. As refilling R12 may be expensive and also its not worth as it may leak out again... So some one suggested me to change the whole system to R134A..

Can any one suggest me the parts that I need to get for this retrofit and also the procedure to change the system from R12 to R134A.

thanks,
new corollate.
