I have a 2000 Toy. Corolla.....when i go over bumps i can hear a rattling sound (like a lose spare tire, although the spare is tightly secure?) I don't know what it is, but I know for sure it is NOT the strut?.....Anyone have a similar problem? or knows how to fix this?

You're gonna have to describe it in more detail. It comes from the spare tire place, but the tire is secure?

To check if your struts are bad push down on a corner of the car. It should bounce back to normal and not bounce anymore. If it bounces and is all springy then the strut is bad.

its not from the spare........i think its the sway bar bushings....not sure though.....anyone know how to check if these are bad?.....The noise is a clunk, like something was lose...sort of hard to describe

how much did you lower by?
