XRS = GT-S?? Interchangeable?

Are the engine parts for the 00-04 Celica GTS and the 03-04 Matrix XRS completely interchangeable with the 05 Corolla XRS?

I have a buddy that says they are, because its the exact same engine,.. but I want to be sure.

I know this is a new car, but Im looking for performance mods,..

Looking for bolt on performance,.. I.E. Intake, Header, Exhaust,

And the part that made me type this,.. I saw AEM Pullies for the Matrix XRS and Celica GTS, using the same 2zz engine right? I was wondering if they would fit the Corolla XRS

Yes, with the 04 Matrix XRS only (since GT-S and 03 Matrix XRS have a different ECU). There are a few Corolla XRS owners who have put the 04 Matrix XRS Injen Cold air intake on the XRS and it worked perfectly and dynoing at 162 whp with the intake. If you would like to get more opinions from XRS owners who have the intake installed, check out www.9thgencorolla.com and the 2ZZ section.

Some parts in the works:

AEM and Magnaflow full catback exhaust for XRS in the summer
TRD heavy duty clutch for XRS

You can also find an XRS video with the Injen intake there doing 10 - 90 mph.

All the bolt ons for the 04+ trix will fit and some of the 02-03 parts. Any internals that you find for the 00+ celica GTS or 01+trix XRS will also work. thing like clutches and suck will also fit. I also found that the trix XRS, celica GTS, and corolla XRS all share brake parts front and rear.

Yes it is the same engine, but they have different engine bays, different ECUs,... and just the fact that its different years,..

Not all parts will fit like they would on the Celica GTS or the Matrix XRS.
