What do I do with this thingie??

I installed a CAI (ok hot air intake) and I was left with this dowhackey. What do I do with it? Also, I removed the pipe that attached to the throttle body, and it looked like it had some sort of cancerous tumor... what is it?

you need to install that into yer cai its yer air flow meter..your car will trigger a check engine light w/o it..plus it might throw you into a rich state or a lean state cause the computer dont know what yer air flow is..Drill a hole for it if there isnt one already and install it..

You're putting all these things on this car and its not even running yet.. you should get the car on the road first with everything in working condition before you start going into things like this.

that looks like an air temp sensor that should plug into the intake pipe.

My car is running and on the road! It's just not 'technically' registered... insured... inspected...

There is a 1" hole in the cai, but no grommet. I went to 2 auto parts stores... none fit. I guess I'll hot glue it in there or something

That is an intake air temp sensor. Not sure what you plan to do with it, but it normally goes into the side of the air cleaner housing. Pretty important little sensor, really... Regards, Aaron
