AE92 AE92 Sedan new project need your input 56k

So i'm starting my new project AE92 sedan (4agze swap project) or better & the suspension needs a change,i've searched for this topic for a while here & i'm still a little curious & confused about it. so here it goes before someone tells me to do topic search. i did & that's why i'm asking it again.

I want to know the possible suspensions available for this car even suspension swaps are cosidered, all your input is welcome. as for the springs i'm thinking of an EIBACH PROKIT 1" drop.
But for the shocks, I'm very confused ...some say kyb gr'2s (but isnt that oem replacement)
others bilstein but where do i get these parts ( i live in montreal & all these shops overcharge you for nothing & none take you seriously) i need the parts #s & vendors infos.
i really want the best for this suspension, anything helps coilovers; even TRD (do they even make anything for the ae92 sedans??)
all i know is that this model has very little after market parts available but i really love the car & need your help. BTW if you have any other thoughts on mods, be my guest.
here are some teaser pics in the meanwhile..of my on going project.

the begining

& the expected final product (whells are not determined but old scholl rims are on my mind
paint colour is AY2 Infinity G35 Sedan Gardent red

how are you gonna make the old school supra fit, that's a 4x114.3 bolt pattern and yours is a 4x100?

goodluck on the project.. looks good!

Not bad so far... while you're at it.. replace the rear drum brakes with Corolla GTS Disc brakes.. will look a lot better.

I spent about $900 CDN for my suspension set up, parts and install/alignment included and this was about 2 years ago. APEX 1.6inch springs were cheaper than the Eibach 1inch kit, About $320 w/tax. KYB GR2's for the fronts were cheaper for the GTS because the GTS comes with drop-in cartridge rather than full-strut replacement like the rear. Rears cost me about $90 CDN per side and fronts were $80 I think.. or less.. can't remember now.

You should also try to get some shorter bumpers.. I'm sure the filipino AE92 crew would be able to point you to the right AE92 sedan sources... I love their sedans.

it's gonna stick out like crazy.. those adaptors are at least 2 1/2'' thick plus you're putting a set of rims with a RWD offset, you get what i;m saying?

I just used a set of swaybars from a '94, used my stock springs/shocks, cost me $30.

You could go with aftermarket KYBs, but they are only generic replacements, aren't tuned for the car at all, are valved 50/50. That is not a cost effective solution imo. It was twenty years ago, when you could buy the same shock for a third the price as nowadays, but you can get more performance for your $ using just OEM shocks I believe.

Bite the bullet and get Bilsteins, you won't be dissapointed, especially if you lower the car a bunch and F up the geometry, it'll still drive nice.

TRD stuff is re-boxxed Eibach, nothing too special there, would probably work alright with a good set of shocks.

as a newb to the forum scene, the search button has become a good friend of mine. however i never get to ask questions or offer feedback b/c the threads have been idle for so long! this time i couldn't pass it up. i had to let everyone know that bilstein shocks are available for the corolla thru autozone - you can even order them online! i was surprised and excited to find this out since i run intrax 1.6-1.8 drop and am in desperate need of new shocks. i hear that the bilsteins are your best bet (other than coilovers) if you're running lowering springs. is that correct? 92 sedan 4afe

Fafi,
I've never seen one of these models where the trunk lid fit evenly on both sides. Did yours come that way or did you have to adust it?
