i have never done the swap, but i wouldn't think it would require that much work.... speaking out of inexperience with the 4A- series swaps.
But i put a 2E (carburated engine) out and put in a 4E-FTE (Turbo engine) in.
Not that much work, except the headache of exhaust pipe, intercooler placing... and the ECU wiring (sorry ECU was BIG BIG headache :P)

if you have experience it won't be too difficult....... after doing a very simple 4afe to 4age swap in my ae92 i had enough experience to tear down my n/a mr2 and toss in a 4agze with a stand alone ecu.....

Thanks guys the agze swap is in progress ill post the result in a couple of weeks... it would be sooner but im doing alot to this car at once. i just got the system finished with a kenwood ddx7015 head unit, power acoustics 4 1/2 in. front and back, 2 12 in. infinity kappa perfects with 2 800 watt old school punch amps it pounds. i will have pics when im done with the body work. i just put on the extreme dimensions bomber kit with a first gen. rear bumper and im working on the rims at the moment. Thisw is going to be a sweet corolla i cant wait until im done. also if your a big corolla fan and your in anaheim ca. ill be entering my ride in HIN 2005.
