So I contacted Jack at FastTrack today, since I bought Vogtlands for my Camry from him, to see what kind of gear he has for the 03 Corolla. According to him, no struts yet from KYB or Tokico, and he stocks the Vogtland springs for the Rolla as well. I liked them on my Camry, decent drop and nice handling.
But I've been hearing lots of good things from you guys about the Teins. Jack claims the Vogtlands give about a 1.5-1.7" drop, and according to you guys, the Teins give up to a 2.4" drop. Since the Corolla's, stock, are jacked up like an SUV, the drop on the Teins sounds nice, though with a drop that aggressive, would a camber kit be needed?
Also, Jack's main argument for the Vogtlands, and why he carries them, is the quality of the metal that the German manufacturer uses being much better then the asian mfgs.
So any advice from you guys? Anyone using the rolla vogtlands? I can get the Teins for about $130 on ebay, and the Vogtlands for around $140 from Jack.

Good question!,
i'm tinking to get the Tein myself, I think the 2.4 drop witch should give about 1.9-2.0inch on my xrs should be just fine, following my friend that work at a speedshop and installed bunch and bunch of Tein product, they didn't get any reliability issue with those...

Dan
any idea on camber? Think it will need a kit after a 2"+ drop? Also, I assume that a 2.4" drop will be more aggressive in terms of wear and tear on the struts than a 1.5" drop. Should that be a concern considering we don't have an aftermarket solution on struts yet?

Humm... not excatly sure about the wear on the strut... For the camber, it appear that there is enough adjustement. I will see when I go to the alignement shop. I was looking for the tein h-tech should give about 1.8 inch drop from a normal corolla, so this will give me just about 1.3 drop, this is not alot... corolla are so high from factory...
So I'm still wondering s-tech or h-tech... also here during winter, with all the snow.... lower I get, more I will act as a snow scrapper
you might want to get some coilover sleeves to fix that.
Told ya. My wife was driving it this afternoon. Looks sexy as hell, except for the fact that it looks like it has a lift kit on it I think if the s-techs give the reported 2.4" drop, that will probably work well. Coilovers would be nice, but I don't know if I'm prepared to drop $1k on the suspension.
