buying a 2002, what to look for

hey everyone, i'm new here to toyotanation, and like the looks of it. my sister is looking at getting an 02 corolla 4 door. I've been VERY active in the honda community and know much about cars and engines, but i'm not particulerly knolageable in just corollas. I know every car has its little flaws, i was hopeing some of the peeps here could point out all the basic flaws or what not in the 02 model, so i have somthing to look for when i'm checking over this car. . . .

I'd look for the usual when looking at a used car. Check to see if all the vin stickers are on each panel/fender. Check the fender bolts to make sure they haven't been loosened/painted over. Check for repainted panels, you can run your fingers under the edge of the back of the hood to see if it is rough, if it is, most likely it's been repainted, and it was in a frontal colision.

Other than wether or not it's ever been in an accident, there really isn't much to worry about those cars, very dependable.
