This issue is caused by your tires, and not what you're wearing. Newer tires have less carbon black in them so they have lower rolling resistance. This means they are a better insulator, and don't allow charge to drain to ground as easily. Every tire is different though, some are far worse than others. The solution a few others have posted to allow your car to ground is probably a better one than changing your tires, as the new ones may be worse than the old.

I guess that ground strap should do the trick. Recently had all four tires replaced to new ones (stock 13's) and still, we get shocked (but no awe )

I think we need a TN volume discount deal on those strap thingy's...perhaps something with a little reflective TN weight hanging where there's usually an orange yield symbol.

but use your key....that is if you dont have any electric stuff on it...and it'll work

i have a 96 rolla and its ok.
