Nice Day ... to break my car!

So i'm taking a break from work and decide to put the distributor into the motor with the o-ring I picked up this morning. And as I'm tightening one of the 2 bolts that holds it on, the "ear" of the dist' housing snaps off. I get worried but after talking it out with Trueno92, I finish bolting it up and fill the motor with engine oil. Then I go to fill the coolant and about hlf way thru, the thermostat/water-outlet starts dripping. So I drain the coolant back out and start unbolting that outlet pipe. SNAP!

This piece comes off the damn block. I didn't even use that much force. I'm guessing that the block took a real beating when the gasket blew and is probably full of hairline fractures, maybe from over heating. So I guess I'm looking for a blue top that runs whether it's strong or not, I don't care. I just need to get the car moving before i go insane. Oh, and when I get that motor, there's beer and steak for anyone who can help me install it. That's steak boys! No kidding, I'll fire up the bbq and treat you right! : P

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. Hopefully you'll be able to get your baby up and running again soon.

Nice meeting you too! All that BVSV pulling for nothing! :P I read up on the 20V and I might have to read up on it again cuz it seems you need a few parts here and there and I dunno if I can afford a stand-alone-ECU or want to push back the firewall.

Don't worry. I found out that it's repairable ... but the part isn't listed so i'll probably have to hit the junkers again to find it.
