my coil is mounted on the strut bar on the same side as the distributor. or just follow the plug wires off the distributor. usually its the one plug wire in the center that doesn't go to a spark plug but to the coil.
negative wire on the coil is a tach lead..... the coil on your 4afe is IN your distributor, it has 2 wires that go to it, a black (negative) and a brown (positive).....

the COIL has 2 wires.... one black (negative) and one brown..... under the distributor cap are more than just the coil.... the ignitor and magenetic pickups are in there as well (ignitor has 5 wires and magnetic pickups have a total of 3 wires)....
