AHHH!!!! MY FUEL GUAGE!!

OK here's what happened-

I filled up on my way haome from work on Fri, about 10 or 11 gallons. I drove 50 miles home and 20 miles running to the store and what not. So I get back in my car with 70 miles on a tank of gas and the fuel light is on and the needle is peged to E. I drove home, and filled back up the next morning- It took about 3 gallons. Now the guage SEEMS to work correctly (It felt like it took a long to to move off of F though) Getting it to the dealer is a huge hassle with the hours I work. Have any of you had this type of problem and even it it dosen't happen again should I still get it in to the dealer for a once over??

Oh yeah, it's a 03 Corolla LE, with just under 4000 miles on it.

take it to the dealer

sounds like a wired glitch. If it were an old car I would say sending-unit possibly, or a bad ground. Seeing as it is new, the dealer is the way to go... still under warentee... and you never know, it could turn into a recall for some reason.

ciao
