Question Valve Cover, Grommet Removal 7AFE

I have a Valve Cover from my 95 corolla. The sparkplug grommets are deteriorating, and I would like to replace them, but I do not know the proper way to remove them. Can anyone help? I've tried pulling them out with pliers, but Im sure there is a better tool or way to get them out. any help is appreciated, my email is jwetzler01@axcess.net

probably the best way to do it is to pull the spark plug wires out, pull the valve cover off, and replace the grommets with the cover off.....

I did mine with the valve cover off. They come in a set with the valve cover seal so you might as well do it all.

On the earlier engines (like the 4A-FE), I think the only way you CAN do it is by taking the valve cover off. It is easy to do. You might replace the rubber valve cover nut grommets while you are at it. Regards, Aaron
