Obd1?? Obd2??

Ok, I bought a 20v 4age silver top for either my 92 Prizm or my 90 'rolla, but I ran into an issue.

My friend says that if it is OBD2, it will not work in the older cars (95 and up only, right)?

Well, I have no idea what OBD2 is. So, first off, what is it? And, how do I know if the motor is 1 or 2? Can I make it work either way??

i guess you won't have a problem installing it if the engine you got is complete with the computer box and the wiring harnes.

That's what I thought, but he said that it isn't totally contained in the ECU, something about a MAP sensor or something??

like VooDoo said.. if you have a complete wiring harness, ECU and sensors you should be fine. heck i installed one on my '82 Toyota so i'm sure you'll be fine. btw, STs are AFM equipped they're not MAP sensored unless you got a BT ECU with your motor.

funny, OBD1 OBD2 talk sounds like we're in a honda forum, hehehe!

You mean this isn't a Civic forum??? I thought everyone wanted to drive a Corolla Civic with a 20V VVTVTEC in it.
