Corolla LE 1998 Amp Power Wiring

I've got a Toyota Corolla LE 1998. Just got an 4 guage amp wiring installation kit, and now need to get to the battery through the firewall, and prefer to not drill any new holes through the firewall. Would prefer going through existing grommets, if possible. On the passenger side in the trunk, i did notice about a two inch cutout hole in the metal with some wiring coming out. Tried fishing my way back from this opening with no luck. If somebody's done an amp install on their corolla, you input is appreciated.

The two inch cutout hole that I was referring to in my post is actually in the passenger side in the Engine Bay, I'd mistakenly mentioned it as "passenger side in the trunk". Are there options other than removing the wheel well cover, for running the 4 Guage from the battery through the firewall.
