Obviously you're not looking hard... APEX, Suspension Techniques, B&G, Eibach, and who knows who else I missed, all make springs for our cars. I'm running APEX myself with KYB shocks all around. pretty decent, not so stiff, bot not as soft as OEM. you can get them anywhere really, just look for 88-89 Corolla springs, I believe the SR5, sedan and GTS all use the same spring.
Yes you can run 16's after a 1.5inch drop.. I run 15's and Xenon runs 16's on his SR5 with spacers, we both have APEX springs that give 1.6inch drop, maybe lower after they settle down. I wouldn't go any lower though.. as ride quality, your floor and oilpan will suffer.
The springs will fit GTS, SR5 and sedans.. now the struts is a different story, GTS's have replaceable cartridge struts on the front and full struts on the back, the SR5 and Sedans have Full struts on both front and rear.
You will need spacers because anything bigger than 195width tires will hit rub the struts in the rear... nothing to do with lowering.
One more thing I would suggest to you is that you find a junked GTS and start stealing all the front suspension parts, the GTS comes with sway bars on the front, the SR5 doesn't.
Fronts come OEM on the GTS, rears... never really seen one, but I bet it can be fabricated. the problem with the rear struts is that they're hidden under the rear console.. so putting a bar there is kinda pointless unless you chop off your rear deck.
Yeah, I've tried to do the reverse - ship from US to Australia, not cheap and in the end made me not want to buy an AEM CAI for mine ( For now ). Whiteline is still quite popular here in Australia.

That and OEM is your only choices.. I would get the OEM from Toyota though.. they're way better quality than the auto parts crap. I've searched for bushing kits but they only sell for the AE86.
Whiteline USED to have a kit.. but I don't think they sell it anymore.
