Possible '79 rolla buy

Sup all,

I've been keeping my eyes open for a decent older toyota lately, and I just came upon an add for a '79 Corolla 4dr for $400. I called the lady who owns it ans she said it has an automatic transmission in good cond, the body is good except for a lil rust near the wheel wells and that she thinks it has about 165xxxmiles on it. However, she said it needs a new carburator and a cap for the master cylinder.

From what I said does this sound like a good college bound dude's fixer-upper... I wanted ya'lls opinion before I went to look at it

Thanks

If you wanna end up investing a lot more than you paid for it, then go for it. Good luck..................

I just paid $800 for one. That's a good deal. Mine has several issues, and oil everywhere, yet still runs and drives. These old engines are very reliable. Be prepared to spend some time working on the car.
