aerospeed i hear makes good springs to sit on some performance shocks. try some coilovers if you want. my car is lowered but in the front my right is slightly higher than i my left front(a common problem with 93-97 models from what i heard)also watch out for tha exhaust piping right before it curves into the flange for the muffler. in like every single toyota i seen camry, corolla whatever the pipe hangs down and scrapes when going over speed bumps.

Then you better be prepared to pay for new struts later. Because your oem struts are 10 years old and after lowering it, it will wear out even faster.

Yeah i realize the OEM struts are oil not gas. Has anyone felt the difference between the oil and gas feel.

well... after lowering your vehicle, your oem struts will sit much lower than its suppose to... and you will bottom out your struts more often. and since lowering springs generally have higher spring rates and if you struts does not provide enough dampening, you car will bounce around and make it dangerous to drive, especially at high speeds and cornering.

yah he's right. i got some decent struts for my application and i can definitely tell the difference in stock and performance. if you are going to lower on stock struts i strongly suggest at least buyin new oem struts(especially in the rear) and ride on them until you save enough for some performance set especially in the rear. i rode on stocks for quite a while but then again i don't carry much people in my car . sony is right tho the stock struts are not meant to handle the high spring rate and you have to understand as well that you struts when lowered are compressed ALL the time which is what will wear them out to rapidly because they were not designed for such an application.

i highly recommend AT LEAST replacing the rear ones before lowering ESPECIALLY if you get coilovers.

i don't even know how much oem struts are...

but i doubt that they are cheap... man, last time I wanted to buy a fog light switch from dealers, they told it its 80 bucks... for a stupid switch!

if you want my set of struts, i will sell for 450 and if you want the eibach spings, 100

Well I have already replaced my rear struts and springs with a pair off of a 1999 Corolla. They fit right in place, this is after the fact that the idiotic Toyota dealer told me they are different and gave me the wrong paint code...they are extremely smart. I picked up the entire assembly for the rear for $100. used of course.

And now ive gotta change the front end. I just pick up those for $150 (99 rolla parts) for both the spring, strut, ball joints, calipers, and disks... well we shall see if those fit.
