I heard that the 06'S are going to have at least 700 new/better/improved parts over the 05'S and will be out in the late fall...then a complete style change/new generation for the 07'S models ...Radd Guy...

I've read the '05 has that many changes over an '04.

The 05 had 700 new parts as compared to 04. Who said the 05 parts are worse than 04s?? I have owned both an 04 and 05. My 04 had 3 distinct rattles while my 05 is solid and no rattles whatsoever. Sound deadening has been increased as well. On my 04 the cd case door hinge broke on me three times and I had to get it fixed. My 05 cd case door is a lot better than my 04 and is holding up very well. The CD control buttons, climate control everything has been improved drastically since my 04 buttons felt delicate and would move a bit while the 05s are rock solid. My 05 has A LOT better quality parts put especially in the interior as compared to the 04.

Drive by wire sucks though, but atleast they did not make the XRS drive by wire so I am fine there.

Lol...Then they must have put 700 new parts as compared to my 03-S on the 04'S...that makes 1400 new parts on the 05's 700 more on the 06's and thats almost a whole new car ...by the way Rolla my cd case drawer broke on me also it had a small spring and a little plastic piece holding it that broke...I n-rigged it and its fine now, but my climate control knobs are tight and work just fine no problem...A few things that I hope they look into...The giant foot rest-(pain in the ass)---AC seems on a hot day to take a long time cooling down---black felt type interior on the driver door gets discolored from your elbow rubbing---should have a padded black console cover in the S model---with the seat all the way back(tall guys) the rubber door seal gets worn from getting in and out(replaced twice)---fog light bulbs keep blowing out---Costly silverstars last less then a year because of DRL's---better reception on the radio---climate control and shifter bulbs blew on me(thats how I broke my cd tray)...alloy wheels chip easy...should have chrome rims around headlight/taillight---clearcoat peeling on the sub bumper---gas milage went down since new ....Radd Guy...

There were no differences between the 03 and 04s while 05 was mid-model revamping.

p.s I am really curious about the 06s since I think Toyota will add some nice new things such as steering mounted controls, electronic digital climate control and probably auto adjustment etc. and maybe a navigation system etc.

I doubt you'll see a navigation system or digital climate control.
A Corolla is a inespensive model.
Too many option make it too expensive for sales.
Would you pay $1500 for a navigation option and/or $400 for digital climate control on a $16K car.
Not many will.
My Corolla LE with ABS and side airbags was $17692 on the sticker.
Add a possible navigation option and digital climate control and the sticker hits $20K.
Not many would have any interest in a $20K sticker on a corolla.

They are already present on the Altis model in far east and some other Asian countries. Mazda 3 has steering mounted controls and optional navigation available already. As for the inexpensive, they already have thrown a 8400 rpm compact sports car engine and a 6 speed manual transmission from a car that costs 8k more in a compact sport Corolla, put red on black Lexus style optitron guages that you only find in Lexus models, recaro sport bucket seats etc. and highest refinement in a Corolla while plans for a hybrid Corolla are in the works in case you did not keep up lately. As long as Toyota comes out with a product with great value, people are going to buy it even if the price is higher because of their reputation. The thing is to stay ahead of the competition. If Toyota does not do it, Honda or Mazda will.

Hmmm...Trust me dude. Honda will be going hay wire with their new Civic next at the end of this year. The current Civic is an aging dinosaur that is lagging far behind the competition so they are going to redeem themselves in a very strong way. Toyota better be ready for it.

I don't find,as will most others any Corolla LE at and above $20K a great value.
Mazda 3 has to have more options and be cheaper to compete with the Corolla.
Would you buy a Mazda 3 over a Toyota?

People buy Corollas because they're reasonably priced and reliable.
When I bought my '05 the salesman said they would give me a great deal on a '05 LE loaded with leather, sunroof and such that listed for $19600.
I wasn't interested and he said many others weren't also.
That car had been sitting in their lot for months.
The salesguy said it very tough to sell a Corolla with that list price.
Want a navigation system?
They're available aftermarket at half the price of auto manufacturers.
