After a 20 min flight, a good wait at London Municipal Airport and socializing with London's local Mexican and Lauren, the official scrap yard hick, I was able to hook up with Randy to pull off the struts off the smashed ae86.
The day went well, as we pulled the parts off pretty fast, cleaned them up and bagged them...ready to be sent home on yet another 20min flight.
Anyhow, thanks randy for taking some time out the day to help on the pull. and a 'right on' to Lauren who helped us with his impact wrench and gave us a schooling on fishing, cheap Chevy durability, Asian work ethic and why NOT to drink too much early on in life.
The struts are being cut right now as i'm expecting the GC coilovers anytime soon. once completed, i will post pics.
WOO HOO!!! so the struts are cut and welded and i got the new perches (rings) welded onto the strut casing. Got the coils in the mail....$100 cfor custons ouch!!!!!! but it all lines up.
Painted the struts also...they are looking virgin ass sweet!!!!!
two steps away from completion....i promise to post pics.
i'm not sure i understand. you going to sell GC coilsleeves (plus the labour of cutting, welding, painting of the strut casing) for $800 or $950 with SHOCKS??? or is that an additional $950 for the shocks or is that for the $150 price difference you meant that you're throw in strut casings?
