AE92 2005 xrs and 2006 xrs

I'm thinking about getting a 2005 xrs but it'll be around september so i was woundering if its worth waiting just a little bit more and getting a 2006 xrs. My question is what is gonna be the difference between the 2? Does anyone have any links to it or anything?

No word out on the 2006. I am as curious as you are about if there are going to be any differences. There is no confirmation yet that it has actually become a permanent fixture in the Corolla line up. It seems like it will since the handful of XRSs on the lot in my city are all gone. Even a black sand pearl used one on my dealership (driven by a salesperson for 2 months) was sold in 4 days after it was put on display in the used lot. So there is a 50-50 chance that XRS might be continued next year.

if its a limited run, does that make the 05's a higher resale value (vs. if they DID make more)

I am doing co-op at Toyota and was looking into the XRS. As far as sales knows there will be a 06.

there is now difference in power, the ratings just reflect the new SAE standardized testing. look around and you'll see even Honda and Acura power levels are lower
