Lowering springs or Coil Overs?

I have a dropped '04 corolla (2 in). I was thinking of changing my springs to coil overs. What do you guys think is better; to keep my springs (w/stock shocks) or get coil overs?

Thanks in advance.

If you dump your car with coils, your struts are going to go bye-bye in a hurry. Don't wreck them, since your car is still so new.

2" drop probably already a bit too much for your struts. Any more and your wallet will be sorry!

I tried the dropzone coilovers which I was told by dropzone that I could use my original struts (04 Rolla S) and the lowest my car "dropped" was stock height. I could have raised my car 4" though!!! I went with the 2" lowering springs and after the settled (about 2-3 weeks) it looks sick with 17's. Lowering springs will give a better ride than the coilovers.

that's weird... are you sure it's for your application? i'm also using dropzone but not the full coilover. just the shocks and some (4dr. civic) ractive coilovers on my civic hatchback and i like the way it handles, really stiff.. i love it!

EMEX... there's no point of using coilovers if you're just using the car for street. the only advantage is that if you have a weird wheel and tire combo then you can adjust it accordingly. i like drop springs coz their very consistent throughout it's life. cheap coilovers don't cut it!

right application but someone else told me I needed the struts w/ them. I was annoyed when I was told I could use the stock and then found out I couldn't. I'm in new england and a stiff ride(coilovers) would kill my car with all these bumps and potholes.

Yeah I was just thinking if I should go to coilovers, because I have dropzone springs right now, and I am about to get 17" wheels.
