Exclamation HELP! melting plastic smell
I have been getting a melting plastic smell in my 2000 lately. It comes and goes, doesn't seem to be coming out of the vents or anything. I heard a rumor of a TSB for a "smell" in this model...anyone know what I'm talking about or have this problem before?

The TSB was for a rotten-egg like smell.. the melting plastic smell could be from a plastic back getting caught on the exhaust pipes and its melting away slowly, I had this happen to me before. Check your exhaust pipes or the muffler to see if there's a black watery-looking spot, that's probably a plastic bag.
