Canada TRD CAI Corolla05 HELP

Just had a TRD exhaust and CAI installed on my 2005 Corolla S, this afternoon there seemed to be something wrong since the power was coming on and off during hard acceleration. The guys at the Toyota dealer told me the computer had to reajust to the new settings. I'm pretty new to all this so I beleived them. But tonigh while coming back home from work the check engine light came on.

Only thing I can see is that they had to put a small air filter on the hose coming from the top of the motor because on the CAI kit there was no plce to connect it, the guy told me that it souldn't cause any troubles, but tonigh I'm wondering.

Any suggestion would be appreciated, I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow but some of you are probably better at this so I'm asking.

Ok, error code P0171 at idle. I really dont know what the hell it means but ECU compensates 44.4% at idle and up to 33.4% at higher rpm. They dont know exactly why.

the 05 is drive-by-wire... with an intake change, the ECU is going to work against your power gain. Until some sort of ECU piggyback is made, you are wasting your money.

check out www.9thgencorolla.com for some more info on it. Its a hot topic.

Think I'm going to have it removed, had to reset ECU twice since friday, and when the light comes on theres a repetitive sound something like (thick thickthickthickthickthick) when idle, starting to scare me...Turn the engine off then start again and its gone. I'm really going to miss the sound, hope the 05 kits get out soon.

Thanks
