Has anyone tried to install a P205/55R16 tires on your rims without it rubbing on the fender liner?

I think what rolla-XRS meant was that.. those are the size the Celica GTS rims come with.. in which case.. they will fit the Corolla XRS too.

If you have a 1cm with the wheels turned both ways you will be fine your just making your tred a cm wider.

I have 215/40-18
No Rubing at all

I checked and you can go to a 215/55-16 or 205/55-16 so you would be ok with it.
Go to discounttire.com and you can conferm it your self.

Hey T_Tech, the 205/55/16 will fit with no problems. The stock 16" XRS whee's are pretty much the same dimensions as the Celica GTS rim. I had a set of Celica rims on my 03 rolla with 205/55/16 lowered with Progress springs and had no problems at all.

C ya!

i have 225/50/16s for track tires and they dont rub at all. the trd wheel are 18 w/ a 225/40/18 so ya a 205 will fit fine.

I can tell koggles XRS is rolling on much bigger overall wheel radius with 225/55/16 than the stock one.

Yeah my winter tires are that size, but it turned out to be slightly incorrect. The tire wall will be too thick making your rolling radius bigger. Therefore, your speedo will be off and you would become slower off the line. The correct size is 205/50/16 and not 205/55/16.

Remember 55 or 50 is the aspect ratio of the width to tire thickness i.e the tire wall is 55% of the tire thickness or 50%. If you go wider, the aspect ratio has to go down a bit to maintain the rolling radius.
