rip the plug out from the back of the lock/unlock switch? That'll fix the problem. I will also render your central locking unit useless tho.

its easier to pull the fuse out from the inside box behind the small door on the left drivers side than to pull the door panel off, but it looks like Im going to have to spend $20 at the dealer tomorrow to get it disabled. I'll still have the working locks that way.

I may have seen this too late ----- This was posted in the '01 Camry forum - perhaps it's the same way -

Put key in ignition, turn to on position. Open driver's door and remove key (keep door open). Put key in and out 4 times (in/ out only without any turning of key) with the key out at the end. Hit drivers side unlock button 5 times. Wait at least ten seconds and shut the driver's door. Away you go.

I dont see how that sequence would even work, has anyone verified that it does? I saw it beforehand and tried it but it didnt work. I paid the dealer $20 to do it and they wouldnt tell me how its done. hopefully someone knows a toyota mechanic and will ask them about it. that would help out alot of people knowing that sequence.

I don't know if the sequence is correct, but it sounds right, a lot of Toyota's features have ways to set them up like that. In my 05 Corolla, I just need to put the switch to ON and then hold the lock button within 3 seconds for at least 10 seconds, and then my interior lights will flash a certain number of times.
