03 Corollas( Sorry I got off topic, but I'm on a roll)
Hi,
I work for a Toyota dealership here in PA and I can tell you one thing, if you got $500 off the list price you are getting an outstanding deal!!! I sell them at the dealership for full list plus a $395 addendum for "market value adjustment". Until today, we had 0 in stock and were selling out of our incoming stock. A carrier came in today and dropped off 6 of them. 4 LE's, an S, and a CE 5spd. 2 of the LE's were pre-sold. The rest of these cars will be gone within 48hrs or less. The market for them in PA is incredible!!!
For a LE w/ auto, mats, cass./CD w/ 6 speakers and some other small stuff; MSRP is $16,557 and invoice on them is $15,192. Don't expect to get one for invoice anytime soon because the availability of them still is minimal at best. Word has it from our Toyota rep that it's going to take at least 6 months for it to improve. The plant in Fremont , CA cannot keep up with demand and Japanese production is being diverted to the US. Japanese cars are easily identifiable by the VIN # starting w/ a "J".
Here's an interesting rumor that I heard from our rep. as well; there's a good possibility we'll see a Corolla GTS in late 2003 or early 2004 that will have the 180hp 2ZZ engine. For 2003, Echos are redesigned, 4Runners got a complete overhaul w/ a 4.7L V8 avail. Release date is October 15th and they are SWEET!!!! Celica will be available in Solar Yellow along witha blue-ish silver that's close to the Cosmic blue in the Matrix called Zephyer or something like that. Rav4's are coming out with a sport pkg. available w/ a hood scoop similar to 4Runner's. Prius, Solara, Camry, Sequoia, Highlander, Land Cruiser, MR2, Tacoma, Tundra, Sienna, Avalon, all remain relatively unchanged w/ the exception of the Flare side Tundra. If anyone heard the rumor about a "new Supra", it's true, but it's not going to be like the Supra of old from what I'm hearing.
There's all the news in Toyota Land that I know of thus far.

i'm looking forward to that, will it be RWD or FWD?
I'm assuming that it's going to be the same as they are now just w/ the 2ZZ engine. When I find some more out I'll let you know.
As far as the Japanese Corollas, there is nothing different except where they are built. Now the Corollas built in Japan made for Japanese consumption on the other hand might be different because of emission laws and stuff like that. In the U.S., the only way you can tell the difference between a Japanese made and a US model is the VIN, otherwise, they're identical.
Our Toyota rep. should be at our dealership next Thursday. I'll see if he has any other info on up coming goodies.
I was talking with our rep. and he hasn't heard anything in a while about a Corolla GTS. But what is coming is a new 4.0L 245hp V6 SE Camry. It utilizes the new V6 that's in the 4Runner. That should be a cool car....Too bad it's not available in a manual transmission...
when i walked in the dealership to pick up my rolla S they said i had to wait 2 months as well, but since i purchased the corolla S it came in about 2 weeks! it surprised the dealer itself! mine literally came from the factory, it's manufactor date was "November" and i got mine about November 9th so my car was truly brand new.
