I just found a donor 89 GT-S 5spd just about everything has been removed except for the 5spd!! Will the GT-S 5spd bolt up to my 4a-f? I am not sure so correct me if I am wrong but I beleive the GT-S has a LSD. If anyone has done this or any other Auto to 5spd any advice would be great!! Thanks in advance!!

Yes 4"A"GE and 4"A"FE in other words.. all "A" series FWD 5spd transmissions will fit
C50 (5spd SR5 and Sedan)
C52 (5spd GTS)
C56 (5spd 20V silver and blacktop)

Good luck with the swap, the C52 from the GTS is a little stronger than the C50, but some people say they're both the same. The C52 doesn't have LSD, the C56 and up I believe do have it.

Had you been in the Toronto area, you would have been able to pick up a C56 from a 20V, there's about 4 or 5 of these for sale in this area.. I'm picking one up for my car.

How much are those C56s going for up there? Will the C56 accept the C52 axles? Thanks for all of the info!!!

There's a few going around for about the same price.. there was even a C52 for about $80 CDN. There's so many people doing 20V swaps into RWD cars that there's so many C56s lying around, I think Ryan with the KP61 had two C56s for sale last week in the parts forum.

check the For sale section and look up the thread.. its not too old.. ask him if he'll ship to the US and stuff. might cost you a lot for shipping though.
