Where the Oil pressure sender is

Does any body know where in the engine compartment the oil pressure sender is located in a 97 coolla.?

really. i thought it was directly below the exhaust manifold and about an inch above the oil filter. doing an aftermrket oil press intall???

its real easy, just follow the instructions in the manual. if am not mistaken there should be only 2 wires one for ground and the other splices into the lightbulb light that luminates you insrument panel. only reason i haven't done mine is because i haven't found a right path to route the rubber tube back in the car without putting next to anything that will melt it. i mean amn its right there on the engine block, under the exhaust manifold, on the side of the alternator and right in front of the radiator

The alternator, manifold and oil filter are all roughly in the same area in my car.

I think that i might have to remove the oil filter to pull the stock sensor out because of the alternator. its in a tight spot. Did you have to take yours out lifeisviewtiful

not sure if its the same, but i had to take out the braket holding the alternator, a/c compressor and powersteering pump (4agze) to get to the sender. didn't have to take out the oil filter though.
