JDM Hood

I was up last night looking around on the internet for info about the J-Spec Ae92 coupe and it seems as if the ae92 coupe over there had hoods with hood scoops. It look good and I am sure it would help out with the underhood temps!! Does anyone know where I might be able to get my hands on one and how much it might be?

not all the AE92's had hoodscoops... only the AE92 Levin GT-Z had them because of the topmounted intercooler for the 4AGZE (supercharged) engine.

Oh cool that makes sense!! Would you happen to know where someone might be selling one or a company that makes a replica?

wish i could help there, but they're kinda rare back here too. also, you might want to look at other options to let your engine bay breathe... other than a hoodscoop that is. like a CF or FG hood with vents.

I know of a couple of people selling ones here, but in order to put the hood on there, you have to do a complete front end swap. The Levins of all of the AExxx series are longer and have different styled headlights.

or you could just cut a hole in your hood to bolt on the hoodscoop.

but personally, i'm not so much into hoodscoops. the only reason i have one is because of the intercooler. if and when in move that to the front, i'm going back to the standard hood.

If I knew.. I'd be driving a car with a GTZ hood on it.

White85sr5 I told you last time you posted about this that there was someone in PA selling a front end from a GTZ in the for sale forums... look it up.
