what kind of bulbs does the instrument cluster on the 93-97 corolla take?

would i be able to use LEDs to change the color of the gauges from white to somthing else? i found some LEDs on ebay and i wanna change the color of the the gauges should i use LEDs?

yes. ...but directional led's will make hot spots you need to get unidirectional led's.

NOTE - when you take out the bulbs/sockets some corollas have the bulb attached to the socket while some use a normal 194/168 and a seperate socket. My 95 had the attached kind ...
If you cannot pull the bulb out by pulling firmly on it, look at the bottom of the bulb/socket you'll see the metal ends of the contacts and very thin wires running over them. Cut the wires (ONLY THE THIN WIRE - NOT THE METAL STRIP) and you can remove the bulbs.
To instal new 194/168 bulbs in those sockets you'll need to bend the wires on the bulb out ward to the edges so they make contact with the metal strips in the socket.
