TRD told me today that if they ever do any apps for the 05 Corolla, it won't be any more than the same 36 hp gain the supercharger for the 04 Corolla because the car can't handle more. Bull. Prove that. And $1300 for 36 hp? Imagine if that was a turbo. Would you spend that much money for less than 2 psi gain?
Hopefully, Ripp Mods will have a solution for me. They had a stage 2 supercharger for my Eclipse (01) with header, exhaust, fuel management, etc, installed and tested for $5,000 that would have added 200 hp.
Does anyone know if you have to go through Toyota to do the headers, intake, exhaust, etc and not void the warranty? I think my next car will be the WRX STi. Subaru doesn't play that warranty game, and even the regular WRX has plenty of balls.

Yes you do. And just for your info, Subaru do play the warranty game... If they even suspect your aftermarket part (even if it is an STi performance part) is what caused the problem... No worky, no fixy.
Every car manufacturer is the same as far a warranty goes, so dont be getting on your high horse about Subi's being better on warranty than Toyotas. Every one is the same.

Oh... one other thing. Why did you not check out the aftermarket parts for your current model corolla before you bought it? And if you wanted 'plenty of balls' out of the box, which you claim to want in a car, why did you not buy a WRX to start with?
Just a thought.

New turbos cost alot, NIB ones, Edelbrock Performer X turbokit for a civic costs around 3400dollars, thats for all the parts needed for the conversion at about 6psi. Problem is that your engine has high compression and thats not really great when you have a turbo.

EXACTLY, corollas are economy cars, WRX isnt. Get it?

no..... they just have people scanning forums for subaru owners who talk about taking their cars to auto-x, road course, or rally events and VOID their warranty that way.......

Why do people buy economy cars then complain they're not "fast" is what amazes me.. if you wanted "lightning fast performance" you should've spent the extra $10,000 and bought a WRX.
Your warrantee only gets voided if they can prove that the part you installed damaged whatever it is you want them to fix.
I'm surprised you expected so much out of a Corolla. It's expensive to do aftermarket for the Corolla because not enough people are interested in it. For every interested person, there are way more people who just use their Corolla for driving their kids to work.
If you wanted a car to mod up, you should have got a used Celica, some Honda, or a used RX-7. But getting a Corolla to plan a build up? Comeon man.
