97 corolla starting problem

Hey,

I'm having a problem starting my 97 corolla. I have basically no knowlege of cars but here it goes, I'm having problems starting my car. I recently went away on vacation and my battery drained while I was away. my brother jumped my car and I drove it to my house here it drove fine and parked it. the next morning the car wouldn't start, it just gave me a click-click-click-click sound when I went to start it. the battery still had a charge as the dash lights still went on. any info on what the problem spec. would be, would be a great appreceation.

thanks for your input

The battery is dead. You can try to recharge it, to see if it will take. It really depends on how old it is, whether it will hold a charge or not. That clicking is the solenoid trying to engage.

dead battery, time to buy a new one. jumping it will only get the car running til you shut it off again.

AutoZone and most auto parts stores will check your battery free...If your battery checks out to be good its possible that you have an open circuit somewhere that is draining the battery...good luck and keep us informed...Radd Guy
