Yes I have a similar situation with my Celica and wondered what options we have and where do we get them?
I know that the engine bolts up to the stock engine mounts and tranny, but I don't know details.

Yes this has been asked a thousand times.. a search for "AE92 SWAP" would have given you all the info you look for.

You would have also noticed my post saying "any A-series motor will fit your car"
4 A FE
4 A GE 16V
4 A GE 20V
7 A FE

The best for performance probably would be either a 16V or a 20V, for modding.. good luck trying to find parts for either motor.. they're hard to find to start with.

you read wrong. You could potentially use a first gen supercharged mr2 tranny & axles with a 2nd gen turbo mr2 bellhousing.... which will for the most part bolt directly into your stock mount locations. The only mount that would need to be modified would be the motor mount.

in other words... NO... you have to get custom built mounts since the S and A motors have different mount locations... don't get me wrong though.. its been done, but with custom work... and oh yeah.. lots of money.

i dunno, there might be.

the differences between the s/c and turbo mr2 E series trannies are the bellhousings & the axles...... very very slight difference in the mounts to a C series, but that's easily taken care of......

these are rating according to toyota:

bigport 4age (early): 112hp
bigport 4age (later): 115hp
smallport 4age: 130hp
silvertop 20V: 160hp
blacktop 20V: 170hp
bigport 4agze (US 7psi): 140hp
bigport 4agze (Japan 10psi): 160hp
smallport 4agze (Japan 10psi): 170hp

actual numbers vary greatly, especially on silvertop motors.
