Bought another Rolla--A Hatch!
I got a 85 SR5 with 3tc bored .040, race cam, weber carb, header, baby supra rims, Grant GT steering wheel for...$300!!! Has a good title, the body is ok only has one very small dent.
Now the bad, driveshaft is outta whack, it backfires, speedo doesn't work, carb needs rebuild, exhaust is busted in a couple places, has a leak from the transmission when they put it in they used a die grinder to make the bellhousing fit, there's no driver mirror (power), this car was neglected, there were a dozen mountain dew cans and bottles on the passenger front floorboard, I haven't gotten a good look at the underside I suspect there might be damage because this car was taken into the woods for fishing trips, I think that's how the driveshaft got messed up.
It'll need new plugs and wires, the oil was low on the dipstick. I'm gonna give this car some tlc and bring it back to life, but for now the 86 is my baby...my daily driver. I have an 85 gts that I never got the title for and I'm gonna use some of the parts to fix the 85 sr5 with it. I also have a 82 rolla sr5 that I hope I can use the exhaust from, it has a brand new stock carb.
