lowering question

i know there's been a lot of "lowering car" threads already, but i've read them and is still confuse, im sorry if this question has been answered already, but i want to lower my 94 dx, and was wondering do i need to buy new springs or can i just cut off like 1 inch from my stock springs, is this ok? are there any negative effects? and how much do you think it'll cost me if i brought it in a dealership to do it for me? thank you very much

I believe there's a few brands out there that make lowering springs for your Corolla.. btw if you brought your car to the dealer and asked them to cut the springs for you.. they would probably shoot you for asking a stupid question like that.

I think the 98-02 suspension parts should fit without much to any modificaiton.

I think the spring choices you can choose can be

Tein S
Tein H
TRD
Eibach
Apex
Inthrax
B&G

You can also get coilovers such as

Ground Control Coilovers
Drop-zone coilovers (cheap and performs like poopoo)

and a few others..

don't forget that you should also look into performance struts that can handle the spring rates of the aftermarket springs .. or you'll end up blowing your struts!

cutting your springs will give you a horrible ride.. PM me.. if you are in the GTA I can see what I can do for you for prices!

lol
Since when were dealerships "cheap" when it came to doing anything to your car?

If you are cost efficient, why dont you go to your local home depot and rent tools to hack up your springs
