Headlight issue

Hi,

I have a 91 Corolla 1,6gl. I have a problem with my headlights.
When I turn to switch on the parking lights they turn on.
When I turn further to turn on the headlights, they are dead. However, the parking lights are still on.
I can turn on the high beam and it works.

I have checked the fuses and everything seems fine.

Something similar happened 3 months ago and I simply pressed on the fuses and the light problem was solved.

In both cases the problem appeared whilst driving at night and after having used the lights for long periods during the day.

Any ideas what the problem can be.

did you check to see if the low beams were burnt?? just cause the high beams stilll work doesn't mean the low beams do.

If they are twin beam bulbs the low beam filaments could be burnt or loose.

Is it possible for both headlights to have the same problem at the same time?

get a test light and start at the switch. Just wiggle the switch and start moving back from there.
