power window problem

hey guys,

the problem is with my driver's side power window, it goes down, but it doesn't go up, i opened it up and looked at it and noticed that a piece broke off. On Monday, i'm planning to bring it in a mechanic and have them fix it, but i was wondering if this is something i could do myself and how expensive it would be, would i have to order the piece myself? etc, any suggestions from you guys? thanks a lot, wish me luck

hey dudes, i figure it was the regulator, the shop is charing me $255 just to replace it, about $180 for the new regulator and about $75 for labor, do you guys think it's a rip off? i've searched around for 94 corolla regulators and found some that were under $50, i think im getting ripped off, but its ok, only this time. Oh yeah, my car is at the shop right now and they're doing it

yes, but im sure they can find 12 year old regulators for less than $50, i dont mind the $75 charge already, take it that they charge $75 per hour and it takes less than 15 mins to replace a 1994 corolla regulator (driver side) its all good, will teach me to repair my own car
